Alabama Tax Free Weekend

Every year Alabama holds a tax free weekend to help families get back to school. Normally in August, this weekend comes earlier this year on July 21-23. Here’s how it works: the state of Alabama has made a list of items that are tax-exempt (see below) for the whole weekend. For example, all shirts $100 or less will be tax free between the 21st and 23rd. The same is true for backpacks $50 and under. In a state with 9% sales tax, this makes a difference.

While Tax Free Weekend is something all retailers in Alabama participate in, Eagle Eye likes to take it a step further. We are offering 10% off your entire purchase Monday-Thursday (July 17th-20th*).Correct! That’s more savings than tax free weekend! This is the best kept secret at Eagle Eye every year. If you come in Monday-Thursday, not only will you get 10% off your purchase, you’ll beat the weekend crowds, too!

This is the perfect time to introduce our brand new backpack wall. Located behind our Men’s section, underneath the mezzanine, this 30-foot wall is guaranteed to have the backpack you need. Pro-tip #1: Alabama Tax-Free Weekend only allows tax exemption on backpacks $50 and under which limits your options. So if you’re in the market to buy a backpack, you really want to come see us Monday-Thursday so you can get 10% off ANY regular priced backpack.
